They discussed a few things, but the man on the other side of the videophone was hoping to speak with Ash if awake. A talk with one of the nurses later, Ash found himself near the videophones, staring at his mother.*

Oh! There you are, sweetheart. Someone's on the phone for you!

"Oh?" Ash gave his mother a sleepy smile. "Hey, mom...how are you holding up?" He was still reeling from the triple probe earlier and it was clear there were still a few things he either didn't remember or was denying in a way, but Red and Gary had pulled him out of his funk at least partway.
