Chapter 17's title takes from "The Stranger" by Billy Joel
Straight out, I will mention that I had the idea of Polaris' appearance in this chapter for a good while, and worked this chapter around it. So that's why we had people hear chanting heralding her arrival early on. Name dropping the "deus ex machina" trope outright, give a reasoning why it can happen, I felt like I needed to forewarn Polaris' appearance and how she helps our crew.
WE GET BANTU AGAIN. I adore the Fire grampa! With canon reveals, of course.
We just love the changes with Roger, it's always hilarious with this dude.
Now we face Hardin... except everyone knows that Hardin isn't in control, and aren't afraid to point it out. And that's when Polaris comes in! I want to point out the blue aura, white clothing with gold accent thing. This isn't random- I'm implying something with Polaris, tying her with a different world, but I'm not gonna outright say what it is!
More elaboration on Polaris! Hmmm, she really is Sothis' sister, isn't she? And yeah, even if things had changed with Marth's perspective... of course he's gonna need to cry. IT'S THE BREAK/SHAKE SERIES OF COURSE HE'S GONNA CRY.
