Beloved Turnabout RP- Mark

*The call from Kalos may have been unexpected for Delia Ketchum, but after discovering who it was from, it made her happy that this particular person managed to contact them. They discussed a few things, but the man on the other side of the videophone was hoping to speak with Ash if awake. A talk with one of the nurses later, Ash found himself near the videophones, staring at his mother.*

Oh! There you are, sweetheart. Someone's on the phone for you!

"That's good. I'm glad they were able to be with you. You're gonna need their support, after all."

He paused for a moment. "Incidentally, do you have any questions for me? I haven't seen you since you were six, after all."

That made Ash smile more. Frankly, he could use the distraction right now. "Yeah, I've got a lot! For example, what's Kalos like? I've read your letters, but I wanna know more. Like, what kind of Pokemon live there?"

"Kalos," Mark started, "is absolutely gorgeous. Right now, I'm in a place called Laverre, and it's perhaps the most beautiful city I've ever been in. If you and your mother have the time, I'd like to fly you two up here, just to see the sites." His smile grew bigger. "And as for Pokémon, there's quite a lot, but you might be interested in the Fairy-type." He chuckled. "Imagine my surprise when I discovered why Alm- my Clefairy- was resistant to Dragon-types; he was a Fairy type the entire time!"

Ash smiled in earnest. Mom would probably love to see Kalos, and it would be great to have the whole family together at least for a while.

"Fairy-type? I never heard of that!" He chuckled. "I didn't think anything could resist dragons, though. Is Clefairy the only Fairy-type, or is Jigglypuff one, too? There's a lot of Pokemon that look like fairies, now that I think of it."

"Yes, Jigglypuff's a Fairy-type as well! Well, dual Normal and Fairy-type, to be exact. I do know there's some in Johto as well, like the Snubbull line, for one." Mark smiles gently. "And since I know you love your Pokémon battles, there's this place known as the Battle Chateau you'll get the kick out of. I'm a member myself, in fact!"

"Wow! That sounds awesome!" Ash's smile grew. "Kalos sounds great. I wish I could be there right now, instead of here...do you think I'll ever get to go there myself?" Brock and Misty would probably like it, too. Misty would love a whole new place to go fishing, Brock could study new species of Pokémon and meet new girls...

"You probably could!" Mark couldn't help but smirk. "Knowing you've inherited my appetite, you'll also love the cuisine here! And your Pokémon would adore the Poképuffs that's popular here!"

As to emphasise Mark's statement, Alm the Clefairy came into view, eating what seemed to be a chocolate flavored cupcake perfectly sized for the Pokémon. Noticing his trainer's son, he excitedly wave at Ash.
