Never Thought- The Commentaries: Chapter 6

Chapter 6's title is taken from "Echo" by Crusher
I always wanted to us this song for title-ling. And I found the right spot!
Anyway, I always wanted to write the first scene, mostly because it would be different from the canon version. Since we needed to develop Marth and Kris' relationship differently in this series, this was the right opportunity to have Kris see Marth's bruise. I love that we brought back the Lowell Mausoleum and revealed more about it! And yes, any moment I can emphasis that Jagen is now Marth's father is always taken.
The final test! We thought it would've been a good opportunity to have Est pop up, since she's canonly in Altea at the moment. Also I love the whole "I feel more like an older brother instead of a ruler" thing that pops up, because that is such a difference in perspective!
And thus the test is done! I love giving a call-back to the prologue, it was perfect.
Katarina's conversation with Maia was to basically foreshadow Maia's action in the next chapter, as well as showing off more of the connection between Katarina and Marth character-wise. Also like her daughter Maia likes her juices in a wet bar globe.
...I cannot wait for the next chapter, because there is so much to talk about AND the best song title I've ever used.
