as for you, kiddo, you dunno what you're gonna do
Chapter 19's title is a translation of "Dégénération" by Mes Aïeux
My repertoire of songs is crazy. I wasn't expecting to use this particular song in this series, but what fits, fits!
And Ange teases her cousin yet again! She knows Marth too well for people who only knew each other for two years, but that's how comfortable they are to each other.
Ange's suggestion of spooking people in dragon form is because she's a Sea Dragon, and that wouldn't be a type to be found in the area of Khadein they're in. Since saving the clerics is an actual task in the gameplay, this is the solution that made sense.
And you see just how well it works! And of course Ange is gonna dig at Arlen, because that's what she does best. Apparently this particular chapter is known to be difficult in protecting Merric, so Ange made it easier by accident.
Which leads into Elice's and Wendell's smackdown! I love how they wrangled Arlen back; I think it was one of my favorite dialogues. And I'm glad Marth gets to say something- a bit of the Claw of Naga there.
Gotoh comes to lay out some lore! ...As does Ange, revealing what that cloth she uses accidentally doubled as, keeping the Falchion out of harm's way. Ange loves her Poppa, and her Poppa loves her back, in the best way he can.
