Of course I would use a tear jerker of a song for this chapter. When I suggested it to Sara, she knew it was perfect, too.
Man, Hardin fighting off his possession is just... poetically angsty. I love it.
PYRATHI AND THE RESISTANCE TOGETHER IN HELPING MARTH HELL YEAH! The planning has that layer of angst to it, but I also love how we tied in everything that has been mentioned prior- that Gharnef's main focus is on Hardin, mainly. And yes, Ange's rallying cry was to reveal that everyone knows what's going on. XP
Since we didn't mentioned Dolph, Tomas and Macellan before, we decided that they were taken prisoner... so thanks to the resistance, they were saved! ...And Marth is planning something I wanted to do back when he was facing Lamia, but didn't have the opportunity until now.
And that is taking off his circlet. And yes, another Polaris mention! And yes, Marth speaking directly to Gharnef is intentional, he knows who's actually in control... Then comes the Cornelius reference. Of course it was going to come full circle with Marth and Hardin.
I love that we had Hardin place the Darksphere in the Binding Shield. Narrative-wise I love the symbolism of it.
Yep, Ange still has Marth's circlet, he's too overwhelmed at the moment to ask it back. And now, the endgame is truly starting- it's time to stop Gharnef once and for all.
