He found him in his daughter's nursery, holding her while looking out the window. It merely took a small cough to grab his attention.

"Bram," Chrom realized before grinning madly. "What brings you here?"

"Well, I hope you haven't forgotten we're technically the same person." The Observer peered out the window, where festivities were happening to celebrate the prince's birthday. "I came here to give you a gift of sorts."

"A gift? I thought Observers didn't celebrated birthdays."

"Not ours, obviously." He took out a rather strange-looking box from out of his travel bag. "I had to pay good gold for this, Chrom, so I do hope you enjoy this."

Chrom put the box on the table, as to keep on carrying Lucina, then slowly opened it to reveal something he thought was lost forever.

"Isn't this..."

"Father's diary. Don't ask me how I found it, who had it, or how I payed for this." Bram smiled. "Just know that I got it back for you, because I know how much everyone went crazy after it went missing. It's time it returns to proper hands. Happy 20th, Chrom."
