Death's Embrace, DEFEATED!
Apr. 14th, 2013 12:46 amOkay, so it's on Normal with my Eowyn game, but still! After I figured out a trick, it was easier than the Rogues and Redeemers chapter!
This particular Xenologue takes place in a death temple in which there's deadly spikes and just a few areas to be safe, including a healing area... and the enemies spawn.
Now, you can get DLC Est with the right requirements, which is easier said than done, but I've curb-stomped that level by using a few tricks.
1-Using Galeforce is a requirement to beat this level. It seriously saved my ass. But at the same time, I didn't rushed in defeating every enemy right away, instead focusing first on defeating the main boss, since he runs away after turn 10.
2- Almost maxed units are a godsend, and even better are the weapons you equip. I was properly prepared in that area.
3- TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DUAL SUPPORT + IF YOU'RE USING CHARACTERS THAT CANNOT SUPPORT. No, seriously. I paired up DLC!Seliph (who has Galeforce) with DLC!Celica (who has Dual Support +) and had them camp at the healing tiles. Because there was no way I'd be able to go to the other parts of the temple that wasn't spiked, I used advantage of Sel's Galeforce instead to minimize the enemy forces bit by bit. One of my "attack the boss" team was the same thing- my Melanie Avatar (DS+) and Aversa(GF).
4- Abuse the fact the enemy also gets affected by the spikes. Which is why I had two pairs of three pair ups focusing on certain areas- three went after the boss while the other three stayed in the healing area to play bait to the other enemies.
5- Little off topic, but best choice of music. Battle music? FE12's Tearing Shadows. AW YEAH.
