Listen, I adore the idea of Marth and Ogma being surrogate brothers in this series, so of course Marth gushes about the mercenary. And then the recruits talk about their fighting strength! Yes, Maureen was intentionally left-handed, not many of those in Fire Emblem history.
SPOOKY ALTEA LORE TIME. There isn't a lot of lore for Altea, only that it's an island nation full of greenery. So I went for creepy nature stuff that results of draconic burial culture, to explain why Maia was in Altea in the first place- she's a gravekeeper, and now is the citizens of Altea.
More recruit dialogue! And more exploration about Pinuccio! Yeah, you thought I wasn't gonna give him an artificial arm? IT'S LIES OF P, OF COURSE HE GETS ONE. I love the silliness of the reveal.
And here we have Katarina discover Marth's bruise. Yes, Marth doesn't know she was looking, it's a plot point. Again, we plotted for Katarina having something like a crisis of faith while in Altea, and this is part of it. Her discovering how similar her and Marth's lives are important, you see.
It's post-expedition! We might write what else happened during it someday, right now our main focus is on the actual fic. I love how they elaborate what they learned, of course, and what they enjoyed. Of course I had some Marth fangirling in it- he is considered attractive in canon, so why not?
Kris and Elice's convo is derived from canon dialogue, just repurposed for NT.
