This character is on my brain at the moment so I had to drag him in.
When Fire Emblem Awakening was around, I didn't really put in much stock in the idea of a default version of Robin. mostly because I had too much fun making different characters into Robin. (I still enjoy my Lucas run.) Then Smash 4 was announced, and we all waited in anticipation about what new Smashers would arrive.
Oh, new Smashers arrived alright. To the surprise of everyone, we got a stunning reveal involving the characters of Awakening, and

Welp, my brain was changed by this trailer. Suddenly the appeal of a default Robin grew on me, and when I got the 3DS version, I just HAD to try him out. Then Code Name: Steam and Fire Emblem Fates came out, and there was amiibo compatibility with the two games... and that included Robin. To see Robin as an extra character was fun! It was clear he was becoming a mainstay in the franchise, and I enjoyed it.
Especially once Heroes came out. Robin had a special video when you summoned him back then, and I wanted to see it myself. Then came the Christmas variant and... I fell so charmed by him! Default!Robin was slowly getting to be a favorite of mine. When Ultimate announced the return of Robin, I was happy to see a familiar face!
He and Chrom then became one of Engage's DLC Emblems together, and holy shit did it spark something inside of me. How Robin would've interacted with his fellow Emblems, mostly... and then Sara and I worked on Break/Shake. I had to work in Robin in the Elyos part of the narrative, and so he was the first character Marth talks to in A two-way street called Trust. It helped me explore the distinction between Hero and Emblem, as well.
It seems like I've to forgotten Fire Emblem Warriors, but don't worry, I didn't! I actually went back and watched some Let's Plays and other videos of the game, because holy shit is FEW hurt/comfort heaven during the Awakening part of the plot when it comes to Robin. His support conversations are great, too! My top favorite is the one with Tiki, if only because it's a hurt/comfort scenario again, and I love how Tiki takes care of him.Why yes, Robin/Tiki is one of my ships for him, you don't need to ask. Warriors supplements what's given in Awakening, and turns him into a full-fledged character, and the other games after supplements that.
"What about F!Robin?" Don't worry, they're technically the same person! It's just that there's something about M!Robin's appearance that scratches an itch in my brain. Maybe it was the lips in the Smash 4 trailer, who knows?
I do have a muse journal for him for roleplaying purposes; he's fun to play as, and I'd like to get his voice again. He's definitely one of my funnest muse to work with, especially with his female counterpart in play.
