Imagine, for a moment, you're new to Fire Emblem, and you just downloaded the demo. The first thing you see after preparing your Avatar is this cutscene, where you see two people- a girl and a guy. And from the looks of thing, the guy- named Chrom- has to be the main character, because his outfit is very different than you've seen before.

Well, you're not off the mark, because Chrom is indeed one of the main character of the game- and you only have to glance at his outfit to receive a story. Chrom is the Halidom of Ylisse's prince, brother to the exalt, Queen Emmeryn, as well as Lissa, who's younger than him. He's also the leader of the Shepherds, a volunteer force that protects Ylisse due to the practice of peace. Both are represented on each side of him, his left side representing the former, and the latter is demonstrated by his right side.
